Hanna and Noah’s Wedding at Armature Works in Downtown Tampa
For Apple Blossoms Floral Designs and it’s team it was an honor creating this wedding.
Hanna is in the event industry in Atlanta for a major Hotel and came to us with a vision. She also came to us with a budget that was workable. We pulled it all together for her over the course of 3 months. The family has been has been customers of ours for many years. The Wedding consisted of Southern Smilax or Jackson Vine with all white flowers. She just loved the texture of greenery. This has been very popular with brides today.
The Chuppah Hanna wanted was to have a rustic design style with lots of greenery.
Hanna’s family provide a beautiful wood structure that we adorned with Southern Simax, White Stock, Green Hanging Amaranthus, White Hydrangea, Dusty Miller, and White Roes.
Even though a Chuppah is traditional for a Jewish Wedding we find that we also crate these for Christian Weddings as well. The Chuppah symbolizes the Jewish home being created by the marriage.
The additional details of the pew markers using Silver Dollar Eucalyptus were removed after the ceremony and use as additional decoration to the Kings Table for the Reception.
Hanna’s Bridal Bouquet was a Lush Collection of Garden Roses, Blush Spray Roses, Succulents, Dusty Miller, Blue Thistle, and Seeded Eucalyptus in a Garden Style.
We created the Kings Table where the entire wedding party was seated was 32 feet long with an elevated garland of Southern Smilax and hanging votive candles. The table glistened with the twinkle of more than 60 hanging candles.
The Guest tables were adorned with lush High and low arrangements that complemented the Rustic Style of the wedding and the Rustic Style of the Armature Works Gathering Hall.

Peonies have a recorded history that dates back thousands of years, it’s not surprising that even the mythology surrounding the origin of the peony as it has multiple versions. One legend has it that the peony is named after Paieon, the physician to the gods, who received the flower on Mount Olympus from the mother of Apollo. And another tells the story of that same physician who was “saved” from the fate of dying as other mortals by being turned into the flower we know today as the peony.
Peonies are native to Asia, Europe, and Western North America. There are 33 identified species. Ranging in color from Purple, Pink, White and Yellow. Most are herbaceous perennial plants but some are upright woody shrubs. Peonies are among the most popular of garden plants as well as one of the most loved wedding flowers. Peonies are cultivated for the floral industry as from Africa, Israel, Spain, South America, and North America as far north as Alaska. This allows Peonies to be available for many months out of the year. Just be prepared to pay premium prices when they are coming from long distances.
The traditional floral symbol of China, the state flower of Indiana, and the 12th anniversary flower, peonies are known as the flower of riches and honor. With their lush, full, rounded bloom, peonies embody romance and prosperity and are regarded as an omen of good fortune and a happy marriage.
read moreGreenery Garlands have become all the rage, but can be a bit costly. Typically a upscale garland of Italian Ruscus and Seeded Eucalyptus will start between 20 – 25 dollars per foot. This does not include any additional flowers in the garland. To help with costs we suggest placing greenery on the table to create the look and feel of a garland. This will still give you the same look, but at a lower more cost effective alternative. Those garlands sure are beautiful, but can really break the budget quickly. Greenery can cost more than some flowers. It’s all about demand. For instance Seeded Eucalyptus and Italian Ruscus has doubled in price in the past year due to the fact that it is in such demand.
